After being delayed twice War of the Immortals finally reaches CBT phase. War of the Immortals is a MMORPG that has a RTS eagle's eye view. People have compared this game to Diablo 3 and although they look similar at times it's actually quite different.
Character Selection
First off the Character Creation is pretty limited. There is preset faces, preset hair, and you are able to select classes, and your zodiac. In the Character creation page you are unable to zoom in or out on your character and that's a feature most people would want. Hair choices are also plain and don't offer different hair colors. Users have an option of picking one of the 8 classes. Berzerker, Magus, Champion, Heretic, Slayer, Duelist, Ranger, and Enchanter. Classes are general MMORPG roles even so War of the Immortal does no effort to try and tell you the roles in the character selection so you're on your own.
Very detailed isn't it?
Overall
Overall the game isn't exactly too bad. The gameplay isn't like Diablo 3 at all. War of the Immortals requires players to target enemies in order to attack where as Diablo 3 has less of a targeting system. Like most Asian MMORPGs there are features where you can click on the names on the quest log and auto run there. Players may find this useful and time saving, but really what's the point? You won't learn about the game much. Sure you'll know what to do and where to go, but it does a bad job at teaching you how to play the game and what to do later? After getting to a high enough level to do the first dungeon I walked around towns to turn many thing that i hadn't known before. For a game to be good it should be able to teach players how to play their own game without constantly reading text. Levels are quite high in this game. So far I've seen content that goes up to lvl 100! The good thing is that levels are gained pretty fast. It's possible to get to lvl 45 within a day so lvl 100 isn't too scary. War of the Immortals has many many features and almost impossible to point them all. Features such as a cosmetic shop, cash shop, cash marketplace, gems, dailies, quizzes, salary, EXP bonus, energy, Ether, Skill upgrades, pets, mounts, and the list goes on.

WINGS!!
Gameplay
This game definitely doesn't play like Diablo 3. In War of the Immortals players have more single targeting skills unlike Diablo 3 where it's straying away from the targeting system. Players are also in a free persistent environment and not played in instances. This can be a positive or negative point since you are able to interact with other people at the same time, but the flashy moves moves are everywhere and can't use use as much unlike Diablo 3 where you'll only have a handful of players. Abilities are also very limited and there's not much for players to have fun with the abilities. War of the Immortals also have a EX move that does an extremely high amount of damage, but it takes 1000 rage to charge up. So what's the point of such a skill if it takes around 2 hour or a level up to fill up the rage bar to use it again. EX skills aren't too helpful in boss fights either and are probably useless.

That bar will never fill up again till I level...
Speaking of dungeons they are fairly easy and can be defeated on normal mode with just 2 players. Luckily Perfect World Entertainment has prepared players with heroic difficulty in case normal or easy isn't enough of a challenge. Loot from the bosses aren't exactly great and can be gained through the first run of the dungeon easily.

Boss Battle against Nyth the Dragon Rider. Collision boxes aren't there unfortunately.
War of the Immortals focuses a lot on it's cash shop. There's many items to help players to get stronger, buff their gears, fortify their mounts and pets, and allows players to teach their companions skills to help out. Even cosmetic items have stats on them which makes them more of a necessity. After you've gotten to level 40 your rate of leveling will decrease dramatically. Your quests will consist of killing 60 types of a monster and frankly that bores most MMORPG players. Skills aren't always fun enough to use and earning coins can be a pain before level 45. Pets add another depth into the gameplay which makes it even more complex and more of a grind. Pets each have their own nature, ability slots, growth rate, and rarity. All this creates this want to have a perfect pet akin to Pokemon where dedicated trainers would go and constantly breed Pokemon till they get the right nature, stating stats, and EV points.

Buffs when I dismount and buying skills for my pets? Sounds pretty unbalance
Presentation
War of the Immortals actually looks great at some points, but horrible at others. Having the game zoomed out to an eagle's eye view it's not for eye candy. However, once you start to zoom in or have try to get and alterations on your character such as hair, face, etc. Then all the textures looks horribly pixelated. The music isn't any special and often very subtle. MMORPGs don't tend to have wonderful music until raids so I'll let this slide. Skills are flashy, but not too flashy that you won't be able to see anything. Teaching players how to play the game isn't very helpful. Let's be honest here, how many player will actually sit down and read pages and pages of information that only lightly touches the mechanics of the game. Interface of the game has too many things going on. On your life bar you'll see your life, your mana, your rage, your avatar points, and your avatar picture. There's also a load of icons on the right side of screen. Many buttons clutter the minimap and makes it hard to figure out what is what. Automatically nothing is locked and while playing players may start moving things instead of play. Cluttered is the feeling you get while playing this game. There are many things obscuring the actual game. War of the Immortal did make it so it's easy to close interface by clicking the right mouse button, but still there's lots of clutter for this game.

Graphical Comparision between lowest and highest graphic settings. Sometimes okay, but sometimes it's horrible.
Gameplay 7.5/10
Graphics 8/10
Sounds 7.5/10
Interface 6/10
Balance 5/10
Overall 7/10
War of the Immortals isn't a great game to play. It's not the worst, but it can be far better. Player will find themselves bored of this game very quickly. Of course there will always be people who will want to play or try this game out. If you're waiting for Diablo 3 I suggest you continue waiting since War of the Immortals is not a good replacement at all. The gameplay is different from what you'd expect and the cash shop creates huge balance problems due to all the mechanics packed into the game.
