WoW Hans-on Preview i love it....
A New World
Regardless of your character's race and class, you'll start a new game of World of Warcraft in front of a friendly character with a quest lined up for you. All quest-giving characters have a yellow exclamation mark above their heads, and all quest-givers will provide you with quests that are appropriate for your character's level and skills. World of Warcraft has a skill system that resembles that of games like EverQuest and Dark Age of Camelot. You increase your skill in weapons, magic, and crafting through repeated use, though, as Kaplan explained, you may receive skill-based quests regardless of your character's experience level. For example, you may be sent on an advanced fishing quest if your character has a fishing skill of at least 100. You'll also meet characters with grayed-out exclamation points above their heads, which indicates that they can offer you a quest once you've gained some more levels. According to Kaplan, the idea is to make sure that you're never at a loss for something to do. If you don't already have several quests stored in you quest log (which pulls up your objectives and keeps a running count of how far along you are in each), you'll

lORD OF THE RINGS ( THE ) - ONLINE REVIEW
Hey all,
As many of you know, I've been in beta for LOTRO for a few months now, and after the stress test last weekend I decided to write a current review on the game.
So lets get to it!
Lord of the Rings Online has been in development..for almost 6 years publicly. It started as "Middle Earth Online" being produced by Vivendi Universal. However, after a few years, they decided (not sure of the reason) to pass the game onto a company called Turbine. Turbine had
previously made and managed Ascheron's Call 2. So, after almost 6 years the game finally entered into closed beta Q3 of last year. It's advertising points being that it stayed as true to the
books as possible and offered an exciting MMO experience.
Now that we've gotten that covered, lets get into the actual game itself. I of course like to start with the core game system. For those who like to speed read, LOTRO can be descried in one word: WoW. The game systems are eerily similar, almost to the point where it should be a copyright infringement. The characters have no modifiable stat points, ie, each level you gain does absolutely nothing for you except the possibility of learning a new skill if you've re
Aion Preview
May 13, 2006 - AION stands for "Epic Everlasting World." Created by NCsoft's Seoul development studio, it is an MMO which looks to break from convention. According to Yong Taek Bae, Associate Producer for NCsoft Seoul, there will be none of the level-grinding which is common in Korean MMOs. Although not fully disclosed at this time, the leveling-up system will be different from what you would normally expect.
The premise behind the game is an epic conflict between Demons and Angels, which are the two playable factions of the game. Although details are pending, both of the classes will have bonuses and attributes specific to each. Both will have wings, enabling fast travel throughout the vast world displayed at E3.

In an interesting twist, all player stats and actions will be recorded. This is significant as the information accumulates over time. How you interact with others and play the game will be tracked. As time progresses, these stats will begin to affect your player and those around you. In instance raids, your stats will either enhance or detract the characteristics of your party
AION will have dragons as a third (non-playable) faction. They will have a strong
