News of a new Street Fighter-based movie got the audiences and fans wondering how moviemakers will pull this off. Despite being a box office bomb, the very first Street Fighter movie (starred by Van Damme and Raul Julia) gained cult status. The plethora of well-known Street Fighter characters had their share of the spotlight, staying as close to the game’s description as possible. And who could forget Raul Julia’s Oscar-worthy portrayal of M.Bison? The Street Fighter genre returns to the silverscreen in the form of “The Legend of Chun-Li.” Will it live up to the hype?

Chun-Li’s supposed legend is the typical story filled with emotion and usury. As a child, Chun-Li wanted to be a piano player, but also loved learning tai chi from her dad. In a twist of events, she witnessed his father taken away by M.Bison. Strangely enough, no o

Spring Anime 2009 Lineup!
The season of spring is here at last! Spring marks an opportunity for new beginnings, and the anime lineup for this year is no exception! Some console games have begun their transition to their anime masterpieces, with top-notch work from their respective animation studios!
Here's a short list of the anime shows (plus a little review/preview) that have begun airing.
Note: These short previews do not necessarily reflect the opinions of everyone in MMOsite. They are in no way equal to a review of the whole series. These previews are merely first impressions, and will hopefully help you in judging what anime to patiently wait for. These previews may contain spoilers.
1. K-ON!

K-ON is this season's utterly cute and moe-rific (short for moe + terrific) anime, following the footsteps of Azumanga Daioh and Lucky Star, and perhaps going after the music side of Haruhi (if you remember, Haruhi and friends did a band performance in one of their episodes).
First impressions? The first and second episodes show gradual and steady progress in the story, especially for their guitarist. Unlike Lucky Star and Azumanga that's random talk most of the time, K-ON actual
Energy-saving Awareness for the rest of us
This article is a tribute to the recent Earth Hour event.
Quote from USA Today:
“U.S. organizations squander $2.8 billion a year to power unused machines, emitting about 20 million tons of carbon dioxide — roughly the equivalent of 4 million cars… About half of 108 million office PCs in the USA are not properly shut down at night… If the world's 1 billion PCs were powered down just one night, it would save enough energy to light the Empire State Building — inside and out — for over 30 years…”
|
The statistics from the said report come from offices in the US alone. Imagine the results if it included home PCs, or consolidated the data from around the world. The numbers from the report alone is already very disturbing. PCs left opened overnight waste too much energy, which could have been used for other purposes.
Energy, powering our PCs and other gadgets, does not come free. Energy companies burn fossil fuels in order to generate energy for the rest of us. As they burn fossil fuels, carbon dioxide is expelled into the air. Thus, not only do we contribute to wasting energy, we also contribute to air pollution. Believe i

More than a year ago, the world was shocked to see leaked pictures of what seemed to be a live-action film Hollywood adaptation of the famous anime series, Dragonball. Many had hoped to dispel the news as mere rumor or a failed attempt at Photoshop. But the constant stream of leaked photos and the eventual revelation of the Dragonball film only spurred more anger and negative feedback, perhaps even a source of satirical commentary. A small number of fans held back their comments and angst, clinging to that small glimmer of hope that the film adaptation would be an unimaginable success.
The Ballistic Story
An alien named Piccolo ravaged the land 2000 years ago and was eventually sealed by a bunch of monks. For whatever reason, Piccolo is once again free and is after the seven Dragonballs, capable of granting the collector a wish. The fate of the world is now in the
