Yep, it is that time again Summoners. Well, that day was yesterday for the announcement, but due to some happenings on my end, I didn't get the chance to post it when I wanted to. But it is still here, and still valid, despite being a day late. You'll live.

So as usual I will say which champions I like, give a reason to why I like some of them, and then ask you guys what you like from this week and why. Why? Well, I post because it interests me, and I ask because I am a curious sort. So my picks for the week are; Alistar, Nunu, Poppy, Shen, and Fizz. I know, it is a few, but I don't really use the others enough to have a genuine opinion, and I haven't tried out Draven, yet. But out of these I will talk about Nunu, Poppy, and Shen.

Nunu is a fun caster, especially because of the pure damage he does and how easy it is for him to stay in a lane forever. His Q scales for 1.0 of the AP and his Ult scales for 2.5, giving him a rather nice chunk of damage when he builds a lot of AP. Mix that with his ability to eat minions to regain health, and he can be a really pain in the arse. Well, his ult can be countered rather easily if you have someone with a disable (which you should always have at least one). But his little icecubes can still be a royal pain. I can't tell you how many people I have chased down a lane throwing my ice cubes and knocking away their health. As for how I build him, I usually go AP tank, mostly focusing on AP and then getting some HP to help with his close range ability to survive. As for which lane, well he can do will solo laning or with a partner. So that really isn't an issue.

Poppy is another one of my favorites. She is also a great choice for countering a team with heavy hitters like Darius or Tryndamere. Why? Well, with her ult making her invulnerable to damage from anyone but who she targets for the duration, it makes the damage from those heavy hitters moot in a team fight.  More than half the time in the chaos, people will still target you thinking they will do damage when your ult is on someone else, which makes some all chat convos a bit funny, especially of those champions, like Darius, waste their ult on you and ask why it did no damage. As for how I build her; I tend to do a bit of a hybrid build going for trinity first and then gunblade, after that it highly depends on what the other teams composition is and how they're building. She also seems to do fine in both the solo and partner comps.

Last but not least, Shen. He is a great tank, despite me not really using him as much as I used too. When I used to play in a 7 man team, I used to do a damage/hybrid shen, which usually worked out fairly well. Now though I prefer him to be a bit tankier to help out the actual carries in the team. His ult is great for saving someone in real need, and giving them enough shield to counter their attacker(s) and turn the gank into a counter gank. He is also great as a laning partner since his Vorpal Blade can heal whoever targets that champion/minion that it is on. So if your carry is getting a bit low, you can use that to help them regain a bit of health and keep them in the lane, and not B'ing out and losing out on some CS. In my opinion it is a waste to have him solo lane, even though he can, since he can help get the carry bot lane some kills early on with his taunt, and help keep them in lane with his vorpal blade.

As always those were my selections and why, and I ask you guys what your picks are for the week, and why you like them? Also, how do you build them when you use them?
