More griefers in Ranked than Normal?

Now, I started to do ranked games more and more lately, doing the solo queue when my friends aren't online to actually do ARAM (which is weird) and just team ranked. I know I haven't done many rants about randoms lately, but the sheer number I have been getting when doing ranked games is astounding - so suffice to say I am in elo hell now.

I know I didn't do the best in some of the matches, but I have done quite a bit in several that I have lost, and I do blame that on the curse of random players. Let me give you a few examples on that:

In one of my first solo queue ones I did the jungle Olaf route, which turned out fairly well, I ganked as much as I could, and my team was actually holding their own. Then out of nowhere we get a random leaver, who just set things out of motion, to make it worse, he was a solo laner, so we had to mess up the balance we had before to reach out and make sure each points were covered. I didn't give up the jungle, I just tried to gank each point more to try to keep things in our favor. After awhile we did luck out and manage to beat them in the 4v5.

Another instance was on that happened yesterday, during the pick Shaco, who was the first to select wanted to go jungle, which most of us were cool with, and nobody spoke out against that decision. When it got to the guy right above me to pick (I was last on the list), he went Nocturne. So thinking that I would support him, I went with Alistar to provide some heals and disables, but no, he went with smite and ignored everyone telling him to switch the skill with something else. In game we ended up with two junglers each too stubborn to go bot and lane properly. Since I went with a support melee character, and the ones I went against were Kayle and Caitlyn, even when I tower hugged I got pushed way too hard. Didn't help that both of the junglers didn't gank either. Suffice to say we lost that one rather badly, since 3v5 didn't work out too well.

It keeps going on like that. From Fiddles who can't kill anything jungle but refuse to lane, to people who just rage quit and leave the team for no real reason. I have been blessed (cursed) with the players who can't tell one thing from another, and just refuse to work with their team in any way shape or form. It is annoying, yes, but I still keep trying, hoping to dig myself out of that hole that is elo hell.

But back to the point of the matter and the discussion. It just seems that the amount of griefers and trolls I get in ranked just far exceed the amount I have been getting in normal games lately, which really makes me think that it is some sort of breeding ground for them. What do you guys think and what are you experiences with it?
