Fans of sandbox type games, unite. Or well, if you like Minecraft unite, anyway. Notch has tweeted today that Mincraft is gold, which I am sure a lot of fans have been waiting for a long while.

For those who never heard of or played Minecraft, the game is by an indie gaming studio studio called Mojang. Some of you may have seen in the news of how they’re getting sued by Bethesda, because of their game called Scrolls.

Minecraft has been in the works for a few years now and revolves around construction and players imagination. It gives you a randomly generated world where you can dig, swim, build, or get blown up by Creepers. There is a lot of freedom in the game and players have taken full advantage of it by building some outrageous and amazing structures. The game does also feature a single and multiplayer modes and a lot of player made content from graphical ‘upgrades’ to player made adventure maps. So if you’re into sandbox style games, and are a bit on the creative side, it is well worth the look.

The game sells for $21.95 (USDs) and can be bought on their official site, here: www.minecraft.net/store
