Okay, for those familiar with it, Dragon Age Legends was a rendition of the Dragon Age Franchise, it was F2P and was played through Facebook with friends. The game seemed alright, but really wasn't my cup of tea, mostly since I don't log into Facebook unless it is for a promotion for an online game I play. Because of that, I didn't get very far in the game and didn't see as much of the world as I would have liked.

But, why am I rambling about my experience it it? Simply because it relates to the news for this game. They decided to end the online portion of this game and bring it to being a offline version that players can download for free and explore again in their new offline adventure. The game is free to download from the link above, and requires Adobe Air to run. The game is also a rather small 166 MB download, so it shouldn't be too big of an issue, unless you're still on dial-up, in which case, either upgrade or leech off of someone elses wifi.

Now, for those of you who played this, maybe even religiously on Facebook, have no fear, for you will soon be able to get your character. They made a not on the download page about online characters which is this:

If you have played the online version of Dragon Age Legends on either Facebook or Google+, you will soon be able to download your character as a Saved Game and continue playing in the single-player game. We are gathering all the data now and it will be available within a few days. Check back soon for instructions on how to download your character from the online game!

So those vets out there to the game, you may need to wait a bit, but for now you can still play the new offline version and get your fill of the Dragon Age world. One thing to note however is the the download is a bit slow at the moment, mine seems to cap out at 252 kbs, which considering I normally download at 1.3 mb/s, is a bit of a difference.
