So for those interested in Elder Scrolls Online (including me), gameinformer(Who gets pretty much all the info) has a bit more news for the game, which includes of video interview on the making of the game, which gives a bit more detail on the setting and how they're going about things. Since the game is being developed by ZeniMax Online, which is actually the parent company of Bethesda, but the Bethesda team is not working on the game, which may create a bit of worry from fans, but it seems like they know what they're doing, despite me being fairly disappointed that the combat won't be the same as the previous installments of the franchise. For one the setting in the story is set in the second era, which is about a thousand years before the evens in Skyrim. Interestingly enough, they got to pick the time frame for the game, it wasn't chosen for them.

To keep things gravy for those of us who are big Elder Scrolls fans, while they did get to pick the time-frame of the game, they are trying to keep everything within the lore which they do by keeping close contact with everyone else to make sure that nothing is just made up out of the blue, and it coincides with how they believe the lore of the story should be. Which if they can keep it as close to the actual world as possible, will be a bit better for fans then making their own alternate universe where Mahrunes Dagon isn't the Daedric Prince of Destruction, but instead some prissy pony, okay that was a bit of a drastic comparison, but you know what I am getting at.

One of the tidbits of information that they let out is that from the actual lore of the game, mixed with the timeline, some iconic characters that have made appearances in previous games will be in this as well, namely Mannimarco, which some of you may remember from Oblivion, who was the main antagonist of the Mage Guild questline, and was the first ever Lich according to the lore. Since the game is set so far in the past, they're placing him as a major role in the game before these events happened, when he was just a necromancer. To prepare for something like that they've already created a whole backstory of what has happened in the events before the game to effectively plan out what is happening during it. This will hopefully create a more fluid transition of having these types of characters implemented in the game.

They've also mentioned things like the warriors and mages guild taking a role in the game, which are two types, I say types since they are there but differ each continent, in the game. Which makes me wonder if factions like the Morag Tong or the Black Hand will be in the games as well. Well, especially the Black Hand, which has taken more of a active role after their more minor role in Morrowind.

As with any explorer of the Elder Scrolls games, you know how many random dungeons the games have, most of which have nothing to do with the main story, a lot not having to do with even the side-quests, they're more things you can explore and see in the world. They mention in the video that is something they thought was great and what they want to put in the game as well, and that recently they even upped the amount of dungeons in the game, so much in fact that they said you can't explore for a minute in a half without finding a dungeon, which sounds about right in terms of how the normal games are, which as someone like myself who loves to just explore and collect random crap you find in the world, this is good news.

All in all the video is a good watch and gives some good information on how the game will play out, which does have me a bit excited, not as much as for Dawnguard for Skryim, but excited nevertheless. What do you guys think of the game so far?
