The guys over at GameInformer are getting most if not all of the information about the game tossed to them, at least first, and usually linked on Elder Scrolls Online's site. This round they got some information on the factions of Daggerfall Covenant, which is one of the factions you can take part of in the game. This faction includes the Bretons, Redguards, and Orcs - which are all races people should be familiar with if they've played any of the Elder Scrolls games before. Bretons and Orcs reside in High Rock while Redguards reside in Hammerfell.
I made a point of mentioning where they're from for another reason. If you read more into the game, one aspect of it that is highly appealing is that the game will feature a bit of each continent in the lore. Meaning you'll be able to see everywhere from Elsweyr to Highrock. I am not too sure if Morrowind will make an appearance, since if they go with the current lore age of the game, Morrowind is pretty much uninhabitable at this point. But since they did say that it will include a bit of each, chances are they aren't going from the same age the main games are in - only time can tell in that regard however.
But the sheer ability to see all of the different lands will be pretty cool, considering we haven't been actually able to see Elsweyr and some of the other lands in the game yet, since they just haven't covered them. Some of the ones that have been covered, have been in a much dated look, and to see them upgraded to a more current gen graphics will be rather neat as well.
All in all the game looks to be shaping up quite a bit from what they have been dishing out in terms of information. I got a bit of a laugh out of their attempt to get gamers addicted to the single player game and other mmos excited for it though. I was also disapointed to hear that the combat system that I loved, despite it being clunky sometimes, in the Elder Scrolls games would be replaced with something more standard in the mmoverse, but other than that it looks and sounds interesting.... I wonder if Sheogorath will make an appearance?
