Brakmar is a very dangerous nation, whether you're a citizen of it or visiting it. But it's not the monsters that you have to be careful of. It's the players! In the World of Twelve, Brakmar functions as the pvp capital. If someone aggresses you, don't expect help. Join a guild or die. Of course this is part of the charm! If you're a pvp nut, why would you pick any other nation to join? Where else can you see a player killed by their own nation's government and shrug it off like "Oh that's just Brakmar." ?

The nastiness isn't just in pvp though. It's a dark and dusty nation and the citizens share their land with a volcano. There are bones and tombstones everywhere and all houses have blood splatters on them. There's even blood leaking out of stone in a few places! The monsters get creepier and creepier as you get closer to the volcano. The overall dark atmosphere of this nation is a fine setting for the violence and civil wars that take place here. If these kind of settings are your thing, there are some really neat hangout spots where you can admire the scenery. The lavafalls are beautiful in motion.

Even the politics of Brakmar are pretty shady. The very first governor of Brakmar declared war on Brakmar's old rival nation and city of light, Bonta.  From there he raised taxes to 50%, effectively robbing all citizens of 50% of all their profits...while the economy wasnt even off the ground yet!! He enacted anti-foreigner laws that made it illegal for members of other nations to mine ores, cut trees and other resources. It was even illegal for foreigners to fight monsters!! Breaking any laws as a foreigner instantly marked you for outlaw status whether it was a big deal or not. This governor was truely a tyrant worthy of Brakmar.

Currently there is a civil war going on for the throne between the guilds Catalyst(Veterans from closed beta) and Vidya(4chan's /v/ board). These 2 guilds are murdering players of each other's guilds on sight. All over the wakfu forums is talk of corruption, ballot stuffing, Slander, and violence. Their election will end tonight and we'll see where the next governor will take this nation.

For the less pvp inclined players, Brakmar is a haven for a few productions. Weapons crafters, Armorers, and Jewelers will find that Brakmar provides a large amount of ore and minerals. Their amazing market currently has the best crafted weapons for sale in the World of Twelve. Players looking for a crafter need only visit a brakmar town and make a request in the trade chat.

So all you players wondering which nation to pick, give Brakmar a shot if you don't mind a little evil touch to your world. Plenty of players to fight and things to see.
